Frog Rock Brewing

Frog Rock Brewing uses this spring water, which gives its beer electrolytes.

After our hot hike at Sweetwater Creek State Park, we drove a couple miles down the road to downtown Austell, home of Frog Rock Brewing Company.

Beer created by Frog Rock Brewing Company is made from spring water. That might not sound very interesting, but actually it is really cool. It is because the water comes from Lithia Springs, which is of course where the town of Lithia Springs comes from. There are many springs in this area. Frog Rock uses this spring water, which gives its beer electrolytes. How perfect is a beer with electrolytes after a hike? If you are interested in more info, definitely check out Frog Rock’s website where you can read about their spring water beer.

Order a Lilly Pad Lounger, which is a strawberry, kiwi, lemon juice, and 9% ABV seltzer.

Frog Rock Brewing Company has a large selection of drinks to pick from. When we visited, there were eleven beers to choose from. They also offer seltzers and seltzer-based “elixirs.” For example, you can order a Lilly Pad Lounger, which is strawberry, kiwi, lemon juice, and 9% ABV seltzer. For a traditional seltzer, they had several different flavors, including blackberry, spicy cucumber, apricot, and dragon fruit.

While we were there, I tried the Berry Buzz Raspberry Key-Lime Sour, a wild huckleberry flavored seltzer, and the Pursuit of Happiness American Blonde Ale. Jesse had the Smiling Turtle Cream Ale and the sour as well. Jesse liked the sour better – it was extremely refreshing. I really loved the Pursuit of Happiness ale! It was just a really good blonde that was light and tasty. Next time we go, I would really like to try one of the seltzer-based elixirs because there were so many fun flavors, and they are also served like an adult juice box.

Outdoor seating at Frog Rock Brewing Co

Frog Rock Brewing Company is family and dog friendly. The inside seating area is not the biggest, but it did have a huge projector screen with a movie playing on it. In the back of the brewery there is a large outside patio to make up for the limited space inside. This is our second trip to Frog Rock, and we will be visiting again!

Happy Trails,
Katie & Jesse
