Top of the Rock Restaurant and Brewery – Jasper TN
After our visit to South Cumberland State Park, we stopped by the Top of the Rock Restaurant and Brewery in Jasper, Tennessee. This brewery and restaurant is one of the most popular destinations in the state. Located in the scenic foothills of the Great Smoky Mountains, the restaurant and brewery offer a unique dining experience with breathtaking views of the surrounding mountain range. Top of the Rock is on top of a mountain, right outside of a gated community called Jasper Highlands. That being said, it is the fanciest brewery we have ever been to. But don’t worry, hiking attire was just fine!
The restaurant had amazing views. We sat near the window to enjoy the scenery of the mountains and river while we ate. The restaurant is well-known for its outdoor patio and deck, which offer stunning views of the mountains and the nearby river. It was too cold for us to sit out there on this visit. This brewery has just four beers on the menu: A kolsch, an IPA, a wheat, and a red ale. They also serve high noon seltzers and cocktails, such as margaritas, old fashioned, and mint juleps. I had the kolsch (ABV 4.6%) and the wheat (ABV 5.5%). They were both good, but I liked the kolsch better. Jesse had the red ale (ABV 5.5%) and the wheat as well, and he liked the wheat better.
Top of the Rock has variety of menu options
We ate dinner at the restaurant, too. The restaurant is owned and operated by the same family since its opening in 1998. It is a family-friendly establishment that offers a variety of homemade dishes. The menu includes a variety of options, ranging from wood-fired pizzas and sandwiches to steaks and seafood. I ordered the bar nachos, which were the largest nachos I’ve ever seen. Those can easily be split between four people. Jesse had the buffalo chicken pizza, and it was pretty spicy. His pizza was pretty big for a personal pizza – they don’t skimp on the portions at Top of the Rock!
The Top of the Rock Restaurant and Brewery is a popular destination for locals and tourists alike. With its breathtaking views, delicious food, and locally brewed beers, it is an ideal spot for a night out or a romantic dinner. Whether it’s a celebration or a casual meal, the Top of the Rock Restaurant and Brewery has something for everyone.
We plan to go back to South Cumberland State Park to hike more of the Fiery Gizzard Trail. I can’t wait to eat on the outside patio of Top of the Rock after that hike, too!
