After our hike on Cooper’s Furnace Trail, we definitely deserved a beer or two! Just 10 minutes from Cooper’s Furnace is Drowned Valley Brewing Company. It is located in the downtown Cartersville, Georgia area. Downtown Cartersville has plenty of shopping and restaurant options. Whenever we visit, there are a lot of people there.

The Drowned Valley brewery is located in a renovated mechanic’s shop, and it has everything you could ask for! The brewery is dog and family friendly. There was also live music. The brewery has plenty of inside seating. Outside, you can sit next to a giant fire pit and under the shade.

From traditional styles like IPAs and stouts to unique offerings like sour ales and fruit beers, there is something for everyone. The brewery’s rotating selection of beers ensures that there is always something new and exciting to try.

When we visited, the Grilled Cheese and Boba Teas food truck was there, which was very good! I ordered a macaroni and cheese grilled cheese, and Jesse got a hold of a brisket grilled cheese. The staff members were very friendly and accommodating.

On our visit to Drowned Valley Brewing, there were around 18 beers and two seltzers on tap. Jesse tried the Long-Gone Blonde Ale. We both tried the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Sour and Boysenberry Sour. Our favorite, hands down, was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie Sour. It just had such a refreshing flavor that we ordered it more than once.
